Peflon FEP Shrink Tubing Features

FEP (CAS RN 25067-11-2) is a melt-processable fluoropolymer whose base resin is produced by fluoropolymer leaders such as 다이킨; its chemical identity is catalogued by CAS 공통 화학. These four properties make Peflon FEP shrink tubing dependable across demanding environments.

What is FEP heat shrink tubing?

FEP heat shrink tubing is a tube made from Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene (FEP) that shrinks tightly around a wire, cable or component when heated. It provides electrical insulation, chemical resistance and mechanical protection while withstanding continuous service temperatures from about -200°C to 260°C.

Which shrink ratio should I choose — 2:1, 3:1 or 4:1?

The shrink ratio is how much the tube reduces in diameter when heated. A 2:1 ratio suits general cable protection and smaller components, 3:1 suits medium-sized cables or objects, and 4:1 suits larger or irregularly shaped parts, shrinking to one-quarter of the original diameter. What is the difference between single-wall and dual-wall FEP shrink tubing?

Single-wall FEP shrink tubing is used for general electrical insulation, protection and sealing. Dual-wall tubing adds an inner layer for high-temperature work, mechanical protection and corrosion resistance, giving a tighter, more robust seal in demanding environments.
