¿Qué es la cinta de PTFE rosa Peflon?
Peflon Pink Plumber's PTFE Tape is a full-density thread seal tape with a wide temperature range, chemical inertness and non-toxic formulation. The pink color distinguishes it from lower-grade white PTFE tapes, signalling its thicker, more robust construction. It is suitable for demanding industrial and commercial plumbing — including propane, butane and natural-gas pipelines. The tape is wound from virgin PTFE resin (CAS 9002-84-0, Química pública), the same fluoropolymer family commercialized by upstream producers such as Daikin.

How does pink PTFE tape differ from white and yellow thread seal tape?
Color coding signals grade and density. Pink is thicker (~0.1 mm), full-density tape rated for gas lines and high-pressure applications. White is standard duty (~0.075 mm) for water and low-pressure plumbing. Yellow is oil-resistant tape often used for fuel lines and lubricants.
What is the thickness and density of Peflon pink PTFE tape?
Peflon pink tape is a full/high-density thread seal tape approximately 0.1 mm thick, wound from 100% virgin PTFE with no recycled or regrind content. The higher density and thickness give it the mechanical strength needed to hold seals on high-pressure and gas joints.
Which standards and certifications does pink PTFE tape meet?
Peflon pink tape meets ASTM D3308 and comparable standards for natural-gas and high-pressure service. It is non-toxic and chemically inert, making it compatible with food-grade and potable-water lines. Certificates of conformity and batch QC documentation are available on request for OEM orders.
Can pink PTFE tape be reused after disassembly?
No. Remove and reapply fresh tape after any disassembly to ensure a proper seal — PTFE tape deforms into the thread form during installation and cannot be reset reliably.
