FAQ

Coaxial Cable FAQ

Which insulation should I choose — PE, PVC, PTFE or FEP?

PE and PVC are cost-effective for general broadcast and residential use. PTFE and FEP are required for high-temperature service, low-loss RF transmission, harsh chemicals or plenum / fire-rated installations.

What is the difference between RG-6, RG-59 and RG-11?

RG-59 is the smallest, suited to short-distance video. RG-6 is the standard for cable / satellite TV. RG-11 has the largest center conductor and lowest attenuation — ideal for long trunk runs.

Can Peflon supply custom OEM coaxial cable?

Yes. We offer custom jacket color, insulation material, shielding configuration, spool length and private-label printing for OEM and distributor customers.

What insulation material is best for plenum installations?

FEP and low-smoke fluoropolymer insulators are typically required for plenum spaces. Peflon FEP coax meets the most common plenum / riser code requirements — confirm the spec with your AHJ.

Do you provide compliance documents (REACH, RoHS, UL)?

Yes — full document set including REACH, RoHS, halogen-free statements and UL flame-rating references ships with every order.
