What Is PTFE Coated Fabric?
Peflon PTFE dispersion (CAS 9002-84-0) is the raw material used to make PTFE coated fabric — often called Teflon coated fabric, after the DuPont/Chemours brand name for PTFE. Fabric coaters dip woven fiberglass in dispersion, dry it, then sinter at PTFE’s melt temperature, building an inert, non-stick, heat- and chemical-resistant film over repeated passes.

What is PTFE coated fabric?
PTFE coated fabric is technical fabric — usually woven fiberglass — impregnated and coated with PTFE dispersion, producing a non-stick, heat- and chemical-resistant material for belting, membrane and industrial fabric.
Is PTFE the same as Teflon?
Yes. Teflon is a DuPont/Chemours brand name for PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) — “PTFE coated fabric” and “Teflon coated fabric” describe the same material.
Do you supply the raw dispersion or the finished coated fabric?
No. Peflon supplies the PTFE, FEP and PFA dispersion raw material used to coat fabric — we do not weave, coat or convert finished coated fabric, belting or membrane ourselves.
Is Peflon's dispersion a drop-in replacement for Teflon-branded emulsion?
Yes. Peflon PTFE dispersion matches Teflon-branded dispersions on solids content, dryness and sintering temperature, so coating lines can substitute without requalifying the whole process — though a line trial is still recommended.

Are your dispersions PFOA-free and REACH compliant?
Yes. Peflon PTFE, FEP and PFA dispersions are produced without PFOA/PFAS and are EU REACH compliant, with SDS/TDS and substance documentation available per batch.
