Differences between PTFE and FEP dispersion

Although both PTFE dispersion and FEP dispersion are fluoropolymer emulsions, there are significant differences in chemical structure, processing properties and applications.

FEP dispersion

Ideal for applications requiring thermoplastic processing, especially where chemical and high temperature resistance are required, but good processability and flexibility are needed, such as cable insulation, films, industrial and medical device coatings.

PTFE dispersion

It is more suitable for applications that require high temperature and chemical resistance and do not require melt processing, such as coatings, anti-corrosion equipment and seals.

PTFE Dispersion

Application of FEP Dispersion

FEP dispersion is a water-based dispersion that is widely used in several industries due to its excellent chemical resistance, high temperature resistance, low coefficient of friction and good electrical insulation.

ptfe dispersion application 1

FEP dispersions are commonly used to coat metals, glass, ceramics, and other surfaces to provide a protective layer that resists corrosion, heat, and adhesion.

electrical insulation
Electronic and electrical insulation

Excellent electrical insulation properties.

fabric

Improves abrasion, water and corrosion resistance.

medical equipment (1)
Medical equipment

FEP dispersion can be used to coat medical devices, reducing bacterial adhesion and increasing durability.
