FAQ

Molding Grade FEP Resin FAQs

What is molding grade FEP resin?

Molding grade FEP (fluorinated ethylene propylene) is a melt-processable fluoropolymer supplied as pellets for injection, compression, transfer molding and hot forming. It combines the chemical resistance and non-stick behaviour of PTFE with true thermoplastic processability.

Which molding processes does Peflon FEP resin support?

Our molding grade FEP is suitable for injection molding of valves, connectors and components, compression molding of larger or complex parts, transfer molding, and hot forming of sheet or stock material for small-batch or custom shapes.

What melt flow rate and key properties does grade PF-001 offer?

Grade PF-001 has a melt flow rate of 0.8-2.0 g/10 min (ASTM D2116), a specific gravity of 2.14, a melting point of 260 °C (500 °F), tensile strength around 30 MPa and water absorption below 0.01%. Full data is in the downloadable TDS.

Do you provide a technical data sheet and can I request a sample?

Yes. A downloadable TDS (PF-001) is linked in the property table above, and we can supply representative samples together with processing guidance. Send an inquiry with your target application and volume.

What MOQ and lead time apply to FEP molding pellets?

Minimum order quantity and lead time depend on grade, packaging and destination. Contact our team with your annual usage and delivery location for a tailored quotation.
