What is a PCTFE Tube?
Polychlorotrifluoroethylene (PCTFE, CAS 9002-83-9) tube is a rigid or semi-rigid hollow cylinder fabricated from PCTFE — a high-performance fluoropolymer that exhibits exceptional chemical resistance, near-zero moisture absorption, excellent thermal stability (typically from −200 °C to +150 °C), and outstanding electrical insulation properties.
PCTFE tubes are commonly used in critical applications such as pharmaceutical packaging, aerospace components, semiconductor handling, and corrosive fluid transfer thanks to their inertness and purity.
Sizes of Different PCTFE Tube
We offer a variety of PCTFE tubes in different sizes — and we provide customized special services.

Molded PCTFE Tubes
Diameter: 1 mm to 150 mm (0.04″ to 6″) · Thickness: 0.5 mm to 10 mm (0.02″ to 0.4″) · Length: Up to 1 meter (molding constraint).

Extruded PCTFE Tubes
Diameter: 2 mm to 300 mm (0.08″ to 12″) · Thickness: 0.25 mm to 20 mm (0.01″ to 0.8″) · Length: Continuous lengths, cut to order.

Custom Natural PCTFE Tube
We offer specially customized dimensions and natural-translucent tube tailored to meet your requirements.
Features of PCTFE Tube
Our products are a high-performance thermoplastic known for excellent chemical resistance, low moisture absorption, and outstanding dimensional stability.
Resistance to Stress Cracking
Ideal for high-stress environments (mechanical components, valves).
Corrosion Resistance
Suitable for aggressive chemical exposure (chemical processing, lab equipment).
Resistance to Weathering
Used in outdoor or UV-exposed applications (aerospace, solar panels).
Low Moisture Absorption
Ideal for humid environments — resists water uptake, maintains performance, prevents degradation.
Chemical Resistance
Employed in harsh chemical handling (seals, liners in chemical plants).
Cryogenic Characteristics
Performs well in extreme cold (liquefied gas storage, space applications).
Resistance to Cold Flow
Maintains shape under pressure (gaskets, high-load bearings).
−200 °C to +150 °C Service
Cryogenic and high-heat applications without losing structural integrity.
Application of PCTFE Tubes
Peflon PCTFE Tubes are a preferred material in demanding environments such as chemical processing, aerospace, and pharmaceuticals.

Chemical Handling
Lab tubing and acid transfer for corrosive media.

Pharmaceutical
Sterile fluid transport — non-reactive and contamination-free.

Aerospace
Fuel lines and cryogenic systems for aviation and spacecraft.

Electronics
High-purity gas delivery for semiconductor and electronics fabrication.

Laboratory Equipment
GC/MS and HPLC tubing — prevents sample adsorption for accurate analytics.

Cryogenic Systems
Transfer lines for LNG, liquid oxygen and liquid nitrogen in aerospace and energy sectors.
Why Choose Peflon PCTFE Tubes?
Manufactured Under Tight Process Control
From resin drying through extrusion, cooling, annealing and dimensional inspection — every PCTFE tube is produced under a controlled, repeatable process that delivers consistent dimensions and clean surfaces, lot after lot. We work with virgin PCTFE resin such as Daikin Neoflon™ grades for demanding pharma and aerospace lots.
How We Produce PCTFE Tube
Material Preparation
PCTFE resin is dried and fed into the extruder.
Extrusion
The resin is melted and forced through a die to form a continuous tube.
Cooling & Sizing
The extruded tube is cooled in a water bath and calibrated to the target dimensions.
Annealing
Heat treatment reduces internal stresses and improves mechanical properties.
Cutting & Inspection
Tubes are cut to length and tested for dimensional accuracy, surface quality and performance.

FAQ — PCTFE Tube
Who are the main PCTFE tube suppliers?
There are several major PCTFE material suppliers globally, including 3M™, Honeywell, Daikin, Solvay and Peflon. Peflon supplies PCTFE tubes as a cost-effective, quality-matched alternative — see the cross-reference table above.
PCTFE Tube vs PTFE Tube — which should I choose?
PCTFE offers higher mechanical strength and far better moisture-barrier properties — ideal for pharma blister packaging and dimensional-critical parts. PTFE excels in flexibility and the broadest chemical resistance. PCTFE wins on rigidity and barrier performance; PTFE wins on flexibility and pure chemical inertness.
What temperature range can PCTFE tube handle?
From −200 °C up to +150 °C continuous service — exceptional for cryogenic applications (LNG, liquid oxygen, liquid nitrogen) while still performing at elevated processing temperatures.
What sizes are available?
Molded: 1–150 mm diameter, up to 1 m long. Extruded: 2–300 mm diameter, continuous length cut to order. Wall thickness 0.25 mm to 20 mm. Custom dimensions on request.
Is Peflon PCTFE tube FDA-compliant for pharmaceutical use?
Yes — virgin grades qualify under FDA 21 CFR 177.1380 for PCTFE in pharmaceutical packaging applications. Full documentation is shipped with every lot. See our compliance page for details.
