Evaluating Peflon as your dispersion supplier?
This page explains how PTFE dispersion behaves on fiberglass fabric — the material side. If you are a coated fabric or conveyor belt manufacturer assessing supply terms instead — grade matching, minimum order quantity, lead time and lot documentation — that is covered on the sourcing page.
PTFE dispersion for coated fabric manufacturersAbout PTFE Fiber-Glass Fabric
The high solids content and small particle size of Peflon PTFE emulsions allow thicker, smoother coatings to form in a single pass — increasing line productivity. Excellent dispersion and wetting properties ensure uniform adhesion to glass fibers and compatibility with other dispersions. Peflon PTFE dispersions match Teflon on solids content, dryness and sintering temperature — a direct, easy drop-in replacement.
An aqueous PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) dispersion (CAS 9002-84-0) is the raw material used to impregnate and coat woven fiberglass — building up an inert, non-stick, heat-resistant film over repeated dip-and-sinter passes to produce PTFE-coated fabric, architectural membrane and conveyor belts.
Features of Peflon Fiber-Glass Grade
Four defining attributes of our fiber-glass impregnation grade — each tuned for coating-line productivity and regulatory compliance.

PFOA-Free, PFAS-Free
Advanced production process eliminates traditional perfluorooctanoate salts — compliant with EU REACH regulations.

High Solid Content of PTFE Powder
High-solids dispersion adheres uniformly to glass-fiber surfaces — smoother coating, better non-stick and abrasion resistance in the finished fabric.

Small Particle Size & Good Dispersion
Fine, well-dispersed particles coat glass fibers uniformly — enhancing both appearance and functional performance.

Impregnation Property
Good wetting properties specifically tuned for glass-fiber impregnation — compatible with other dispersion systems in mixed formulations.
Applications of PTFE Fiber-Glass Fabric
PTFE fiber-glass fabrics are used across industries requiring chemical stability, high-temperature resistance and waterproof performance.

Waterproof Fabric
Good water repellency while maintaining breathability on the fabric surface.

Architectural Fabric
Improved flame retardancy, water resistance and durability for tensile structures.

Impregnation
Heat, corrosion and adhesion resistance for technical fabric and insulation.

Tent Fabric
Prevents moisture penetration and keeps the interior dry — all-weather service.
PTFE Dispersion for Fiber-Glass Fabric FAQ
What is PTFE dispersion for fiber-glass fabric?
It is a water-based, high-solids PTFE dispersion (CAS 9002-84-0) used to impregnate and coat woven fiberglass. Repeated dip-and-sinter passes build up a non-stick, chemically inert, heat-resistant PTFE film, producing PTFE-coated fabric for waterproof, architectural, tent and conveyor-belt applications.
Why is high solids content important for fiber-glass impregnation?
Higher solids and small particle size let a thicker, smoother coating form in a single pass, so coaters reach the target film build with fewer passes — increasing line productivity while keeping uniform adhesion to the glass fibers.
Is your dispersion a drop-in replacement for Teflon™-branded grades?
Yes. Peflon PTFE dispersions match Teflon on solids content, dryness and sintering temperature, so they can be substituted directly into existing coating lines without reformulating the process.
Are your PTFE dispersions PFOA- and PFAS-free?
Our advanced production process eliminates traditional perfluorooctanoate (PFOA) salts, and the grades are compliant with EU REACH regulations.
Do you supply samples, TDS and support custom / OEM orders?
Yes. We provide free samples with technical data sheets for qualification and support custom solid-content and packaging specifications as well as OEM / private-label supply. Send us your fabric type and coating conditions for a recommendation.
