Product Categories

PTFE Film Tape by Manufacturing Process

Peflon PTFE film processing is determined by the resin type — virgin PTFE, modified PTFE and more. Skiving produces precision gaskets and electrical insulation, extrusion molding produces industrial liner tubes and corrosion-resistant components, and coating processes are used on non-stick cookware surfaces and industrial adhesive tapes.

Production Process

How We Produce Teflon PTFE Films

Nine controlled steps from raw resin to finished film — each stage QC-verified before the next.

  1. Raw Material Preparation

Virgin PTFE resin staging, particle-size verification and feedstock conditioning.

  2. Preforming

Resin compacted into preforms ready for sintering or skiving line.

  3. Paste Extrusion for Thin Films

Lubricated PTFE paste extruded through a die for ultra-thin and standard films.

  4. Skiving Process for Precision Thickness

Sintered billets skived to exact thickness for gaskets and electrical insulation.

  5. Calendering for Continuous Films

Roller-formed continuous PTFE films and laminated sheets with optical clarity.

  6. Sintering Cycle

Controlled heat profile fuses PTFE into a dense, void-free film matrix.

  7. Expanded PTFE Production

Biaxial stretching for ePTFE membranes — microporous structure for filtration and medical use.

  8. Surface Treatment

Plasma or chemical etching for bondable PTFE film, ready for laminating or adhesion-critical applications.

  9. Quality Control

Thickness mapping, tensile, dielectric and visual inspection — every roll certified before release.

FAQ

FAQ of Peflon PTFE Sheets

What are the available thicknesses of your PTFE film?

It comes in three ranges: ultra-thin (≤ 0.05 mm) for flexible circuits and capacitors, standard (0.05–1 mm) for gaskets and liners, and thick (> 1 mm) for heavy-duty mechanical use. Custom thickness on request.

How is your PTFE film manufactured?

Peflon PTFE films are produced primarily through extrusion, skiving or calendering — depending on the target gauge, surface finish and end use. For ePTFE membranes we add a biaxial stretching step.

Where can I buy Peflon Teflon film?

Direct from Peflon — contact our sales team for a quote and free sample. We ship globally and serve distributors, OEMs and converters across Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East.

How is Peflon PTFE film packaged?

Standard packaging is roll form — width, OD and length to your spec. We also supply sheet form (cut to size) and pallet stacking on request.

Do you supply FDA / UL / ISO 10993 documentation?

Yes — virgin PTFE film grades are FDA-compliant per 21 CFR 177.1550, UL94 V-0 by composition and ISO 10993 biocompatible for medical applications. Full document set ships with every order.
