What is Peflon Gray PTFE Tape?
Peflon Gray polytetrafluoroethylene tape (PTFE, CAS 9002-84-0) — also known as gray plumber's tape — is wrapped around threaded pipe to create a leak-proof seal between the male pipe and female fitting. Formulated for stainless-steel threads, it is compatible with a wide range of piping materials and performs reliably from −268 °C to +260 °C.
