Different Physical Forms of PTFE Lubricants

Three carrier formats covering every machine condition — from clean dry-film coating to long-lasting paste under load.

Solid PTFE lubricant
Solid / Dry-Film

Solid PTFE Lubricants

PTFE powders or particles applied directly to a surface — relies on the friction-reducing effect between PTFE particles without a liquid matrix. Ideal for gears, bearings and sliding components.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between solid, liquid and paste PTFE lubricants?

Solid (dry-film) PTFE is applied as powder or aerosol and leaves a clean lubricating film — best for precision parts. Liquid PTFE suspends PTFE particles in oil or solvent for spray application on chains and transmissions. Paste PTFE blends PTFE with grease for long-lasting lubrication under high load on gears and slideways.

What temperature range does PTFE lubricant handle?

Peflon PTFE lubricant performs across −180 °C to +260 °C, far wider than conventional petroleum greases. The specific upper limit depends on the carrier oil for liquid and paste forms.

Is PTFE lubricant food-safe?

Our food-grade variants comply with food-contact regulations and can be used on food-processing equipment, conveyor belts and packaging machinery. Request the food-grade SDS and COA when ordering.

Can PTFE lubricant replace petroleum grease in EV motors and gearboxes?

Yes — in many cases PTFE-fortified paste or PFPE-thickened equivalents are used for sealed EV gearboxes, actuators and bearings due to their wide temperature range and chemical inertness. Send us your spec for the right match.

What packaging options are available?

Spray cans, tubes, cartridges, 1 kg / 5 kg / 18 kg / 200 kg drums, plus private-label and OEM packaging. MOQ varies by form.
