100% pure PTFE — highest chemical purity for pharma and food-contact service.

teflon PFA gasket

Teflon PFA Gasket

Melt-processable PFA — higher stress-crack resistance and cleaner surface.

Modified (Filled) PTFE Gasket

Glass / carbon / graphite fillers — reduced creep under bolt load.

Teflon Coated Gasket

Elastomer or metal substrate with PTFE coating — blended properties.

Viton Gasket Sheet

FKM (Viton) fluoroelastomer — fuel, solvent and high-temperature service.

PCTFE Gasket

Low-permeation PCTFE — cryogenic and aerospace oxygen-service sealing.

By Application

Different Types of PTFE Gaskets by Application

Application-matched gasket categories for PEM, packing, piston and flange sealing.

PEM

Teflon Sealing for PEM

PEM fuel cell and electrolyzer stack sealing — chemically inert and long-life.

Packing

Teflon Packing Seal

Valve stem and pump shaft packing — impregnated PTFE for dynamic sealing.

Piston

Teflon Piston Seal

Dynamic piston seals for hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders — low friction.

Flange PTFE Gasket

Raised-face and full-face flange gaskets — standard and custom drilling.

Key Features

Key Features of Peflon Teflon Gasket

Peflon PTFE gaskets are defined by chemical resistance, non-corrosive, non-wetting, non-contaminating, odorless behavior and wide-temperature performance — operable from −73 ℃ to 260 ℃ (−100 °F to 500 °F).

  • Chemical Resistance — unaffected by most corrosive liquids, oils, vapors and gases.
  • Non-Corrosive & Non-Wetting — PTFE surface repels wetting and resists chemical attack at the interface.
  • Non-Contaminating & Odorless — safe for pharma, food and semiconductor service, with no extractables, taste or smell.
  • Wide Temperature Range — reliable from cryogenic −73 ℃ through +260 ℃ continuous service.

FAQ

Teflon Gasket FAQ

What temperature and chemistry can Peflon Teflon (PTFE) gaskets handle?

PTFE gaskets operate continuously from −73 ℃ to 260 ℃ (−100 °F to 500 °F) and are unaffected by most corrosive liquids, oils, vapors and gases. They are non-corrosive, non-wetting, non-contaminating and odorless, making them safe for pharma, food and semiconductor service.

Which gasket shape should I specify?

Peflon supplies tri-clamp, spiral-wound, envelope, O-ring, rope, tape, roll and encapsulated forms. Choose tri-clamp for sanitary lines, spiral-wound for high-pressure flanges, envelope or encapsulated when you need elastomer resilience with PTFE chemical resistance, and gasket tape or roll stock for field-cut sealing. Send us your flange or connection details and we will recommend the shape.

What is the difference between virgin, modified (filled) and PFA gaskets?

Virgin PTFE offers the highest chemical purity for pharma and food-contact service. Modified (filled) PTFE adds glass, carbon or graphite fillers to reduce creep under bolt load. PFA is melt-processable with higher stress-crack resistance and a cleaner surface. We also supply Viton (FKM), EPDM-backed and PCTFE gaskets for specific chemistries.

Are Peflon Teflon gaskets food-safe and compliant?

Yes. PTFE is inert, non-toxic and odorless, and our gaskets are produced per EN 1514-1 and comply with MHRA and FDA food-contact requirements (21 CFR 177.1550) — suitable for food and pharmaceutical service.

Do you make custom gaskets and support OEM / samples?

Yes. We produce standard and bespoke gaskets from your CAD drawing, photo or physical sample, cut by CNC or punch press to your geometry and thickness. We support OEM / private-label supply and provide samples for qualification.
