Three density classes: medium, low and high. Low-density tape has a bulk density below 0.5 g/cm³; high-density Teflon tape exceeds 0.5 g/cm³. Peflon tape conforms to recognized thread-tape specifications such as SAE AMS-T-27730 (formerly MIL-T-27730).
