Coating and laminating fiberglass on your own line?
This page covers finished Teflon glass tape converted from Peflon material. If you impregnate and coat the fabric yourself, Peflon supplies the PTFE, FEP and PFA dispersion that goes into it — grade selection by weave and coating weight, per-lot COA, and a TDS for every grade.
Dispersion for coated fabric manufacturersWhat is Peflon Teflon Glass Tape?
Peflon Teflon Glass Tape is made by soaking strong glass cloth in PTFE, then coating one side with a high-temperature silicone or acrylic adhesive. This process creates a tough, smooth tape that resists heat, chemicals, and wear. It is used in industrial areas like heat sealing machines, packaging lines, electrical insulation, and composite molding. For example, it prevents sticking on heat sealing bars, helps rollers and chutes slide smoothly, and acts as an anti-stick surface on moving parts. The fluoropolymer impregnation gives the glass cloth its inert, non-stick character, and because PTFE is FDA food-contact compliant (21 CFR 177.1550) the tape is also suited to heat-sealing food packaging.
Features and Benefits of Peflon PTFE-Coated Fiberglass Tape
- High heat resistance – works up to about 260 °C (500 °F)
- Non-stick surface – low friction helps reduce build-up and abrasion
- Chemical and moisture resistant – stays reliable in harsh conditions
- Durable and tear-resistant – glass cloth backing adds strength
This makes Teflon Glass Tape a reliable solution for smooth release, long life, and consistent performance in tough industrial environments.
Our Teflon Glass Tape Product Categories
We offer a variety of Teflon glass tape products to meet the unique needs of different industries and applications. Each category is designed with specific performance requirements in mind.

Standard Grade with Silicone Adhesive
It features a reliable silicone adhesive that works well in most high-temperature applications. It’s perfect for general purpose use and heat sealing.

Standard Grade with Acrylic Adhesive
For applications that require a strong, permanent bond. This acrylic adhesive tape provides excellent adhesion and is ideal for insulation and long-term use.

Premium Grade with Single-Sided PTFE
Our premium option offers enhanced durability and non-stick performance. The single-sided PTFE coating provides a superior low-friction surface for demanding tasks.

Premium Grade with Double-Sided PTFE
It is an excellent choice for applications where both surfaces must resist sticking, like in the processing of sticky materials.
Common Teflon Glass Tape Thickness Options
Typical thickness grades of our PTFE glass cloth tape. Every grade is available with silicone adhesive, acrylic adhesive or as a non-adhesive cloth, and can be custom-slit to your exact width.
| Thickness | Adhesive Option | Continuous Temperature | Typical Application |

Frequently Asked Questions About Our Teflon Glass Tape
What is the main difference between Teflon glass tape and regular tape?
Unlike regular tapes, Teflon glass tape is specifically engineered for high-temperature and non-stick applications. It can withstand extreme heat and resist chemicals, making it ideal for industrial use where regular tape would fail.
Can I use this tape for my heat sealing machine?
Yes. Our high temperature tape is widely used on heat sealing machines. It provides a non-stick barrier on the sealing jaw, preventing melted plastics or other materials from sticking and ensuring a clean, reliable seal every time.
How should I choose the right thickness for my application?
The right thickness depends on your specific use. Thicker tapes offer more durability and insulation, while thinner tapes are more flexible. We recommend consulting with our team to find the best match for your needs.
Is your Teflon glass tape available in custom sizes?
Yes, we offer custom slitting services. We can cut our PTFE coated fiberglass tape to any width you need to perfectly fit your equipment and reduce waste.
What are the common types of adhesive used on this tape?
The most common adhesives are silicone and acrylic. Silicone adhesive is known for its excellent temperature resistance, while acrylic adhesive provides a very strong, long-lasting bond at a lower temperature range.
