Peflon Teflon Tape for Gas Manufacturer
High-density yellow PTFE thread seal tape engineered specifically for combustible-gas piping — natural gas, LPG and propane. A dry-seal solution compatible with plastic, brass, copper, aluminum and iron pipe.

What is Peflon Gas Pipe Tape?
Peflon PTFE Gas Thread Seal Tape — commonly referred to as Teflon Tape for Gas — is a high-performance sealing material engineered for gas piping systems. Manufactured from high-purity, high-density polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE, CAS 9002-84-0), it is a dry-seal solution that prevents leaks in threaded connections for combustible gases — natural gas, LPG and propane.
Chemically inert to hydrocarbons — see general PTFE property data — it is compatible with plastic, brass, copper, aluminum and iron piping.
Features & Benefits of Peflon PTFE Tape for Gas
Peflon yellow gas-line PTFE tape is a specialized sealing solution — premium-grade PTFE for reliable, leak-proof seals in combustible-gas applications.
Exceptional Thermal Stability
Retains seal integrity across cryogenic-to-high-temperature service.
Resists All Common Gas Constituents
Inert to methane, propane, butane and typical LPG/NG mixtures.
Excellent Tensile Strength
Will not shred or tear during wrap — clean installation on aggressive threads.
Non-Combustible Material
PTFE does not support combustion — inherent safety for gas service.
Clean, Dry Sealing
No oils, greases or pastes — no contamination of downstream gas equipment.
Teflon Tape for Gas by Size
Gas-line thread tape stocked in common sizes plus custom specs — match roll format to your installation workflow.

1/2" × 260" Yellow Plumbers Tape
Go-to roll for home-improvement gas-fitting work and general plumbing tasks.

3/4" × 390" Plumbers Tape for Gas Line
Wider tape for natural-gas and propane lines — larger-diameter threaded connections.

Teflon Tape for Propane, LP Gas & Fuel Lines
Peflon's yellow, high-density PTFE gas tape covers the full range of fuel-gas and fuel-line thread sealing. The same gas-rated tape that seals natural-gas fittings also handles propane, LPG and liquid-fuel lines, giving a denser, more gas-tight wrap on threaded metal joints than standard white plumber's tape.
- Propane & LP gas: yellow high-density PTFE tape is the industry-standard choice for propane and LPG tapered (NPT) threaded joints.
- Natural gas: the same yellow gas-rated tape suits natural-gas appliance and supply-line fittings.
- Fuel lines & gasoline: PTFE is chemically inert to gasoline, diesel and most fuels, so PTFE thread tape suits tapered threaded metal fuel-line fittings (it is not a replacement for flare or compression seals).
FAQ of PTFE Tape for Gas & Fuel Lines
How is gas-rated tape different from standard white PTFE tape?
Gas-safe PTFE tape uses higher-density PTFE, is yellow-colored for line identification and meets ASTM D3308 for gas service. Standard white tape is lower-density and intended for water plumbing, so it should not be used on combustible-gas threads.
Is the tape rated for natural gas, LPG, propane and fuel lines?
Yes — it is gas-rated for natural gas, LPG and propane on tapered NPT metal threads, and PTFE is chemically inert to gasoline and diesel for fuel-line fittings. It is not a replacement for flare or compression seals; always leak-test the finished joint.
Which certifications and test reports do you provide?
ASTM D3308 conformance with certified chemical-resistance test reports for regulated gas markets, plus per-batch documentation — supporting your qualification, audit and market-approval files.
Do you offer OEM / ODM, custom sizes and private-label packaging?
Yes. We build custom width, length, density and core to your spec, with private-label printing and retail-ready packaging for distributor and OEM programs.
What density, thickness and temperature range does the tape provide?
High-density yellow PTFE rated from −260 °C to +260 °C continuous (short-term peaks to ~300 °C), available in multiple thicknesses and widths for a denser, gas-tight wrap than standard tape.
